The first portal for online booking of nautical charters exclusively dedicated to travel agencieshas been launched: we're talking about the initiative of Kiriacoulis Holiday, a niche tour operator member of Astoi.
"The nautical charter sector is virtually unknown to most travel agencies, despite being a niche, the distribution of which is reserved for tour operators and travel agencies," explains Luciano Rigli administrator of Kiriacoulis Holiday - And it is a niche with a revenue of around 500 million euros, beyond the ancillary in terms of air ticketing, hotels, etc.; today it is mostly handled by brokers, in full conflict with the tourism code and Directive 2302/2014. Kiriacoulis Holidays plans to bring nautical chartering to travel agencies; the platform is the tool. Now we intend to train the vendors."
Rigli goes into detail about the proposal, "The product is above all an experience of freedom, which in order to be conquered can live with some discomfort. In the training, we are planning educational and theoretical courses, all the way up to obtaining a boat license. The next one is October 21-29 in the Saronic Gulf departing from Athens, with 2 boats. The product being an experience, it needs people for distribution, poorly reconciled with the web, which certainly works for the more evolved consumer, but for the vast majority of people it needs thehuman being that tells the life at sea, the smell of coffee while taking a sunrise dip, and so on. A product that should be gluttonous for agencies, in contrast to the web system."
The platform is precluded to the consumer and Kiriacoulis Holiday will present and explain it in detail to partner travel agencies at the upcoming Rimini Fair, where it will be present inside the Astoi island stand 11, in addition to already scheduled participations in the upcoming boat shows in Cannes and Genoa.
